Rick’s Dreamboat
Love Talk

How’d you like to spend the day aboating with beautiful, romantic Rick Springfield – the sexiest skipper ever to sail the sea?! Well, if you happen to live in Washington, D.C. and were among the lucky young ladies who won radio stations WEAM’s “Why I Want to Go On a Boatride With Rick Springfield!” contest – that’s exactly what you did!

One sensationally sunny day, the ecstatic winners of WEAM’s Rick Boatride contest – all 200 of them – hopped aboard the S.S. Wilson Line where a super ship-shape ‘n smiling Rick stood a-waitin’ to shake hands and say “hi” to each and every girl winner! Soon as the ship set sail, Rick brought out his trusty guitar and did a bit of serenading. Everyone wanted to hear Speak to the Sky and, of course, Rick most willingly obliged. Then came a delish lunch of hot-dogs and soda pop – Rick’s fav snack-type foods. Next our hero signed some of his Beginnings albums and then everyone took a guided tour of the boat – compliments of Captain A.A. Inall, Jr.

After a while, the invigorating salty sea air ‘n sun inspired everyone and a real hootenanny song-fest began. With rugged Rick at the helm and all the crew crooning along, it was a happy, harmonious ending to a perfect day.
