This probably comes too late in his career to attract his fading following, but Springfield is one of those pop phenomena made for a greatest-hits collection.
This one is even programmed properly. It leads off with Jessie's Girl, a song that holds up as one of the decade's great, unexpected moments. That's followed by I've Done Everything For You (all together now for the second line: "You've done nothing for me!") From there, it's a straight-forward tour of the songs that made the pop charts, the only flicker of inspiration being the relentless Human Touch, a semi-hit that should have been a big one.
